Cedar Key Events October 20 & 21, 2007. Cedar Key Seafood Festival Sponsored by the Cedar Key Lions Club, the 2007 Seafood Festival will feature a parade on Saturday morning, along with over 100 crafts booths on 2nd Street both days. Entries range from potted plants and dried vegetables to paintings and jewelry. There's always a big variety and something for just about everyone. Local clubs and school groups will serve fresh Cedar Key fish, oysters, clams, shrimp and crabs (as available) in City Park at the corner of 2nd and A Streets. There will be music in the park next to the food booths featuring several area musicians. From Highway 24, turn left at 2nd Street and walk 3 blocks through the Cedar Key Seafood Festival to City Park. Or turn left at 1st Street and drive to A Street where you can let passengers out and then go look for a parking space.
April 12 & 13, 2008. Cedar Key Celebration of the Arts Sponsored by the Cedar Key Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Arts Center and the Cedar Key Lions Club, with funding from the City of Cedar Key and the Levy County Tourist Development Council, this festival continues our return to fine arts in Cedar Key for the third year. Prizes of over $10,000 will be awarded, and purchase awards of over $10,000 will be contributed by area merchants. This is a juried show that was named the best arts festival in Florida in 2006 and again in 2007 by Florida Magazine. Seafood will be sold by non-profit organizations in the park on both days.
